Description
Swimmer 4 is an intermediate level for swimmers 6 years or older. Swimmers will complete standing dives, treading water for 1 minute and work towards swimming underwater for 5 meters. Swimmers will achieve their Swim to Survive by being able to roll into deep water, tread water for 1 minute, and swim 50 meters. In addition to improving their front crawl, back crawl, and whip kick, swimmers will be introduced to breaststroke.Due to the nature and difficulty of Swim For Life lessons, it is very common for swimmers to do the same level multiple times before moving to the next level. Please take this into consideration when registering.
Prerequisites (at least 1 of the following):Red Cross Swim Kids Level 5 (Complete)Red Cross Swim Kids Level 6 (Incomplete)Swim For Life Swimmer 3 (Complete)
Prior to attending this swimming level, the participant should be able to:- Comfortably perform a proper kneeling-dive into deep water- Tread water for at least 30 seconds with no assistance from an instructor or floatation aide.- Jump into deep water, tread water for 30 seconds and swim 50m continuously without stopping.- Perform proper whip kick on back for 10m with no assistance from an instructor or floatation aide.- Perform proper front crawl and back crawl for 15m each.
*For safety reasons, Vecova kindly asks that caregivers register participants into the correct swim level based on their swimming skills. If the participant cannot show the instructor the above skills on the first day of classes, they may be removed from the lesson and be requested to register in Swimmer 4 or lower for the next session.
CANCELLATIONS
Vecova strives to give 5-7 days prior to the start of a program, notice of cancellation. Full refunds will be given or the opportunity to transfer to another program (space permitting).
TRANSFERS
All program transfers are subject to availability and a transaction fee.
WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals must be made a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of a program. Prior to 7 days a credit minus a transaction fee of $2.00 per program will be placed on your Vecova account for future use. Refund requests made prior to 7 days to program start date will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee. Refunds will not be given if cancelled within 7 days of program start date or after the program has started.
PHOTOGRAPHY
To protect everyone's privacy, cell phones, cameras and other forms of communication devices are not permitted in the changerooms.
Photos may be taken of your children while in a program. A Vecova employee has the right to view the photo to ensure the privacy of others.
