If you’re new to tree identification or need a refresher, this class is for you. You’ll learn the fundamental concepts used in dendrology while being introduced to the Garden’s most common trees. The class will share some relevant botanical terminology, but will largely apply a jargon-free approach to learning one’s trees. Participants will also receive recommendations for resources and strategies to improve their own independent self-study. The awareness of trees is one of the best portals into creating a closer relationship with land and nature!
