Description
Level 3 Climbing is the pinnacle of our climbing development program. Members focus on a combination of climbing strength and technique development under our experienced and dedicated coaching staff. Admittance into Level 3 is based on climbing ability, behavior, safety skills and evaluation by a climbing coach.
Minimum qualifications for Level 3 Climbing:
1) Positive attitude!
2) Interest in learning more about climbing
3) Can put on own harness, correctly with no assistance
Minimum expectations for participants
1) Positive attitude and participation
2) Comfort with skills testing
3) By the third lesson, each student can tie a figure 8 follow through knot and can apply risk management techniques to top-rope belaying

Financial assistance may be available through the Bentley Bedker Scholarship. Applications for the Bedker Scholarship are located at the Front Desk of the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Scholarship money can be applied to climbing program and equipment fees. Please call or e-mail the Outdoor Programs Coordinator for more information.
Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation.
