About this event
What you'll be doing: Bouldering outside is a great way to get outside and learn something new! Mountain Alliance staff will teach students how to spot each other and will provide tips and suggestions for bouldering. This trip is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and to participate in a well-loved High Country activity. There are climbing routes for all levels of participants and everyone is welcome to join whether it is your first time climbing or you're a seasoned pro. For protection, we will be using crash pads and spotters to help protect falls. Bouldering has some inherent risks, including the possibility of injury from short falls off the rocks. Mountain Alliance staff will work to reduce these risks and potential injuries. What to bring: - Comfortable/ athletic clothes for climbing in - Closed-toed shoes - Water - Snack - If you have your own climbing shoes/ chalk, you are welcome to bring them. If you do not, Mountain Alliance has shoes/ chalk that you can borrow for free.
