This activity is closed to further registration.
If you are interested in obtaining a License To Carry a handgun (concealed or openly) in the State of Texas, this course is a requirement. Upon successful completion of this training and submission of the application and fingerprints, DPS will issue a license to those who are legally eligible. This course will cover all state required topics, Basic Firearms Safety, Safe Handling and Storage, Non-Violent Dispute Resolution, Use of Force Laws, Civil and Criminal Liability, and Texas Handgun Laws. This is not a Learn To Shoot Class. Attendees must be able to demonstrate that they can safely and proficiently operate a handgun.

Range Location: 4507 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio-Tx 78249 (Mission Ridge Range)
Registration Deadline: Day of class!
Each Student will need the following items in order to complete the live fire portion of training:
-Footwear that covers the entire foot (mandatory)
-A shirt with a conservative neckline (to protect against hot brass)
-Handgun: No minimum caliber required - .22s are ok.
-It no longer matters if you qualify with a semi or revolver. You will be licensed to carry both.
-Handguns should be in safe working order.
-Two empty magazines required for semi-autos.
-Ammunition: Minimum 50 rounds of brass cased ammo required for testing (additional may be required for re-test)
-All borrowed equipment cleaned after each use.
-All ear plugs and pens used are disposable.
