Description
This course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe operation of a handgun for Texas residents aged 18 and older. It is perfect for those that have never held a handgun, new owners, and those looking to refresh old skills. This private training lasts about an hour and a half. It will include both discussion and range time. We will focus on safety, shooting fundamentals, and operation. Upon completion of this course, the student will be more comfortable using a handgun and easily capable of moving on to the License To Carry class.

$10-$20 fee paid directly to range on day of class.
Registration Deadline: Day of class!
The course fee will include the instruction, targets, eye & hearing protection, the use of a semi-auto .22 caliber handgun, and up to 100 rounds of practice ammo. You are welcome to bring your own handgun and ammo as well.
If using your own gun, students will need to bring semi auto or revolver handgun (in case or bag) in good working condition and up to 100 rounds of brass factory ammo. (No reloads)
Safety requirements for all students:
-Footwear that covers the entire foot (mandatory)
-A shirt with a conservative neckline (to protect against hot brass)
-Handgun: No minimum caliber required - .22s are ok.
