The Committee for the Great Salt Pond’s first youth swim, The Great Salt Pond Youth Swim -2024 will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 on Block Island, Rhode Island. This will be a (1/4) mile swim starting at Andy’s Way Beach, swimming out toward Beane Point, and returning to Andy’s Way Beach. The swimmer registration fee for this event is $30.00, and on-line registration opens on January 1, 2024. The swim course is in a protected area with not much chop. In addition, the swim will take place along a straight line, marked by buoys. This swim is an annual fundraiser, serving to support our efforts to protect The Great Salt Pond, and provide funds for additional water testing in the recreational swim areas. On-Line Registration for the event opens on January 1, 2024 and will close on July 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm. On-Site Registration will be available this year.
