Description
Jewelry/Metalsmithing: Intermediate/Advanced
Instructor: Janice Degen
If you are an advanced metalsmithing/ jewelry student that is interested
in continuing a project or designing and executing a new project, this class
is for you. Further development of technical skills and motivation will be
the primary focus for this summer studio. Design processes and various
techniques will be discussed throughout the semester. This class is not
appropriate for beginners. Basic tools and supplies will be provided
along with copper and brass, if needed. Silver and/or gold (optional)
is to be purchased by student.
Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner AND intermediate level
Jewelry & Metals class in previous semesters.
Level 3 & Up
Tuesdays, June 25 – August 20
4:30 pm – 7:30 pm, 9 sessions
$284 Members, $324 Guests, $54 Materials / Studio Fee
Metals/Jewelry Department StudentsAll Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover supplies, and the use of tools/studio
equipment during the class periods. All students are encouraged to wear a mask
in the metals studio.
Materials list of items to bring:-Please bring a small notebook and pencil to class
-Wear close-toed shoes and long pants
-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles
-Keep hair pulled back
