Drawing Foundations: Visual Communications Level 1
Instructor: Robert Bauer
This class is for those who have an interest in drawingbut never had formal training. Students willdiscover the joy of drawing and sketching. Usingonly a pencil and paper you will learn the skills andtechniques needed to visually communicate yourthoughts and ideas. We will start with learning howto observe, converting what we see into realistic2D drawings. Weekly instruction will demonstratethe principles of line weight, light and shadow,value and composition.

One 11x14 Blick drawing pad- Mixed Media paper, 80lb. $17.99, and some No. 2 pencils.On the first day I will discuss in more detail different types of pencils, erasers, kinds of paper, and other tools.
