Digital Photography Basics (May)

Kala Printmaking Studio • 1060 Heinz Avenue 3rd floor BerkeleyCA  94710 Organized by Kala Art Institute

About this event

How do you translate light as a medium? As a photographer, you will need to master the technical basics of the camera and be well-equipped to confidently capture, create, and share your unique photographic vision. During this class, you will explore fundamental photographic concepts of exposure, composition, lighting, and subject matter. Each week, you will learn a new aspect of the photographic process and share your work with the class. You will be spending the class listening to lectures, observing demonstrations, and participating in some hands-on activities and actual shooting time. This course is suitable for individuals of all experience levels, including those who are new to digital photography or have recently acquired a digital camera. Join us to unlock the potential of digital photography and embark on a journey of visual storytelling and creative expression. **Participants should bring their own digital cameras to participate in this class. There is a very limited number of Kala cameras for use - please email classes@kala.org to request on-site use of our camera for the duration of this class.
