The 29th edition of the Great Wall of China Marathon (GWCM) in 2024-Autumn marks another year of this prestigious event that has been held annually for the past 23 years. Since 2016, we have been organizing the Great Wall of China Marathon in late October, providing a unique experience for participants.
Whether you are a 3-year-old 5k runner or an 81-year-old full marathon runner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy top-notch professional services that are exclusive to the Great Wall of China Marathon.
For those planning to participate in the Great Wall of China Marathon 2024-Autumn, we offer official certificates that can be used for visa applications to China. These documents are accepted at Chinese embassies and consulates worldwide. Additionally, if your visa is nearing expiration, we can assist you in extending your stay in Beijing, China. Our successful track record in this regard was evident during the 23rd Great Wall of China Marathon 2024.

Event details and schedule
The designated hotel for the Great Wall of China Marathon 2024-Autumn is Mercure Beijing Zhongguancun (北京中关村美居酒店). The hotel is located at No.31, Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, Beijing 100081 CHINA.
All participants are required to collect their race packets on October 26, 2024. On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 5:30 AM, our buses will depart from this 4-star hotel with all the runners to the Great Wall. The race will commence at 8:00 AM. After the race, the buses will transport all runners back to the official hotel. The transportation fee between the official hotel and the Great Wall is included in the registration fee of 1700CNY (approximately 250USD).
It is not mandatory to stay at the official hotel. If you wish to book a room at the official hotel, please inform us via email or Wechat. The cost is 700CNY per night for a single or twin room. If you opt to share a room with another runner, you will be paired in a twin room, with each person paying 350CNY. Payment can be made at the front desk upon arrival at the hotel in Beijing.
Unlike the 23rd Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st, 2024, please ensure to bring sufficient clothing as the average temperature in October in Beijing ranges from 9 to 19 degrees Celsius.
