About this event
Running club will meet on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm and all experience levels are welcome. We include Games & Activities, Incentives & Awards, Fun, Fitness & Friendships, End of Season Party, and a T-shirt. Club members will have the opportunity to run in a local race with a partner and other running club member.* Running practices will consist of the following: • Dynamic warmup • Running drills • Laps • Running specific exercises • Stretching • Mileage tracking We will hold discussions on the following topics: • Injury Prevention • Shoes • Cross Training • Progression • Race Day • Recovery & Rest Space is limited to the first 25 registrants and registration is non-refundable/non-transferable. * Fitwize Running Club members are invited to join us in the Ashburn Village Fiesta 5K Run. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, and participants need to register for this separately; the race registration fee is not included in the Fitwize Running Club registration (race is not mandatory to be a participant of the club). Please be sure your child has a running buddy prior to signing up for the race.
