Kumihimo is the ancient art of Japanese cord braiding. In this fun 2-day class, students will learn the basic 8 strand round braid using beads. Each student will leave the class with a beautiful beaded bracelet with a magnetic clasp. Work outside of class will be required in order to finish the project. No experience necessary. Beginners welcome! Students will need to purchase their choice of beads for this class. This gives you the flexibility to select the color of your choice. Bead specifications are listed on the supply list. Please be sure to bring them to the first class meeting. ● 10 grams of size 8/0, round or delica seed beads. ● Toho or Miyuki brand Japanese beads are recommended. ● Beads may be found locally or online at Fire Mountain Gems. All other materials (cording, beading needles, etc.) will be provided. *Please plan to attend each session of class to allow for complete and finished projects. No refunds, pro-ration, or make-up sessions will be provided due to missed class sessions for any reason, including illness and unexpected life events.
