About this event
This eight-week course is designed for anyone looking to venture into the world of digital visual narrative art using Procreate! Students will learn the fundamentals of staging, composition, perspective, lighting, visible emotion, and using references. With demos and 1-on-1 instruction, this class will guide you through the basics of digital painting and the process of taking a story concept and bringing it to life visually. Students will leave with at least two finished narrative illustrations that connect powerfully with their audience. View Supply Notes iPad, iPad charger, and Apple pencil are all provided on site at the Ann Arbor Art Center. Students are welcome to bring their own iPads and Apple Pencils if available. If you are bringing an iPad from home, students must purchase and install the Procreate app before the start of the workshop. (Current Procreate app pricing is $9.99) Please also bring a sketchbook, pencils, and a story or idea you would like to illustrate. Please note: the A2AC does not make exceptions to the age minimum for any reason.
