Introducing the inaugural "Tri like a Seawolf Classic" – an exhilarating journey into the world of triathlons! As the first-ever event of its kind, we're thrilled to embark on this adventure and hope to establish it as an annual tradition. Organized by the newly formed UAA Triathlon Club, this event serves as a gateway for students to discover the excitement and challenges of triathlons. Get ready to push your limits, embrace the spirit of competition, and dive into a world of endurance, athleticism, and camaraderie. Join us as we make waves in the world of triathlons and set the course for an unforgettable experience!Distances:
- 400 yard swim
- 8.0 mile indoor bike (indoor bikes provided, you do not need to bring your own bike)
- 5k outdoor run
- Required gear includes: Clothes you are comfortable swimming, biking, and running. There will be Changing space available in the main locker rooms, but we encourage people to wear something they can do all three legs of the race in without having to change, as well as running/athletic shoes.
- Pre-requisites: Must be 18 years or older. No previous experience needed. Participate in this race you should be able to swim 500 yards continuously (with only minimal rests at ends of the pool), be able to bike 8 miles in less than an hour, and be able to run/walk 3.1 miles
- April 1st - April 24th Prices
- $30 for UAA student
- $60 for public
- Finisher T-shirt, post race snack/food, on course hydration
- We will also have awards for first place in each age group, as well as overall 1st place finishers
- Deadline to register is Wednesday April 24th.
- You will be assigned your bib number and Wave group at bib-pickup.
- NO HEADPHONES ALLOWED during the race
