Description
Hike into the Rocky Dell Valley to learn about all wildflowers and history! This unique valley and its steep slopes support many species of spring ephemerals, as well as unique habitats once used by indigenous peoples. Learn the flowers this ecosystem supports and discover the history of the Rocky Dell Rockshelter, an excavated site that revealed evidence of human use dating back to 3000 BC!
Hike is about 2 miles and is rated as moderate-difficult with steep hill climbs and stream crossings. Adults must register with children. Call 724-935-2170 for more information.
