About this event
Learn the basics of Wheel Throwing and the gain the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups and bowls. Step by step instruction is provided through the lessons, lectures and demonstrations. Great for Beginners and those returning to pottery after some time has passed. Please note: Accessing the studio requires use of stairs. *NEW CLASS START DATE: April 1st* *Session 1: 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM, Mondays 5 Classes, 15 hrs. Students currently enrolled in Session 1 will have priority registration for Session 2. Session 2 is 5 classes, 15 hours and will open for registration at a later date. ✨Please note: - 1, 25 lb. bag of high fire stoneware clay, studio glaze, instructor firing and use of community tools during class are provided with cost of class. -Open Pottery Studio is a CCArts membership benefit for Current Students who have their instructors permission. -Open Studio dates/times and rules will be sent to registered students on or before the first class. - Class limited to 8 Students. - Students are responsible for cleaning & sanitizing their studio equipment after use. - Each session is an independent class and must be purchased separately. - Students must remove all personal belongings after the end of the Session. PLEASE NOTE: - This is a Community Studio, No Commercial or Production work allowed. - All work to be fired at CCArts must have been made at CCArts either in a class or in the open studio - Absolutely no outside work will be fired.
