Rare and mysterious. Exceptionally unique. Wonders of the world. Are these distant lands or fairytales? No, these describe several preserves right here in Will County! On these naturalist-led hikes, discover the plants, animals and land formations that make up some of our most protected sites. Meet the Wonders of Will County in Evans-Judge Preserve. Connect to a biologically significant portion of the Kankakee River, renowned for its rich diversity of native aquatic species. Surrounding forest and savanna habitats boast unique landscapes and native plants.
- Session 1: 9-10:30 a.m. (You are registering for this program.)
- Session 2: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
The hike will be no longer than 1.5 miles and take place on natural surfaces that may be wet or muddy. Parking is very limited. Please consider carpooling. Evans-Judge Preserve does not have bathroom facilities. Please plan accordingly.
