Description
The VCM is happy to announce an expansion of the Guitar Summer Intensive Program (SIP) with an additional three-day event to be held at the Downtown location. Led by VCM faculty, and taking place from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, this program will be fantastic for all levels of guitarists who want to dedicate a long weekend to their craft. Our VCM faculty will be able to teach all levels of student guitarists, from the absolute beginner to advanced students, emphasizing the development of technique and musicianship while cultivating avenues for musical creativity. Participants will take part in technique classes, masterclasses, chamber ensembles, as well as one-on-one individual lessons. Pending enrolment, the three-day SIP may also offer a guitar orchestra. Recommended for students 10 years and up; younger students may be considered if recommended by faculty or their private teacher.
Refund Policy
Program viability is based upon minimum enrollment. As such, there are no refunds available after the registration deadline (in most cases, four weeks prior to the program start date), except in cases of injury or illness (for which a doctor’s note is required), or other exceptional circumstance, such as family re-location.
Prior to the registration deadline, tuition may be refunded, pending the approval of the Artistic Director. Application and transaction fees are non-refundable. Withdrawal requests must be made in writing to the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Registrar’s Office. Requests made after the completion of a given program will not be considered.
