Workshop Description: Intertwining the major themes of the musical: the effects of climate change on our planet and the Greek mythological tales of Eurydice and Orpheus and Persephone and Hades; participants will make terrariums that explore the fragility of our ecosystem. We will create the varying layers needed to support plant life, as our master gardener explains the processes needed to care for and creatively work to sustain our glass ‘worlds. Then, a master storyteller will explain the myths in context of the original Greeks and how the playwright uses this to explore her metaphors. Then it’s your turn to create and perform a story as a Greek Chorus! About the Production: Welcome to HADESTOWN, where a song can change your fate.
