Join a Pima County Naturalist for a guided nature trek at Maeveen Behan Desert SanctuaryExplore a patch of Sonoran Desert habitat preserved to protect the habitat of wildlife species within urban NW Tucson. Trails are smooth, largely level with some areas with gentle grades. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water; wearing a hat and sunscreen are also recommended. Designed for ages 12 and up.
Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary Trailhead, Arthur Pack Regional Park
Directions: Arthur Pack Regional Park, 9101 N. Thornydale Road, 85742
Take Thornydale Road to the main access drive at Overton Road for Arthur Pack Regional Park. Drive ¼ mile west on the access road and turn left on the only dirt road before the large parking lot. Drive 900' to the trailhead. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
