About this event

Description

As we stroll through the cottonwoods and willows of Cienega Creek, we hope to see Summer Tanager, Yellow Warbler, Bell’s Vireo and many other birds. If lucky, we may also see delights such as Northern Beardless-Tyrannulet. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.

Cienega Creek Natural Preserve at Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead, 16000 E. Marsh Station Road


From I-10 take exit 281- Sonoita/Patagonia to Marsh Station Road. Travel northeast on Marsh Station Road approximately 3 miles and watch for the Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead sign on the right. If you get to the large colorful Cienega Creek sign on the left side of the road, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back down the road to the trailhead parking area. There are restrooms but no water is available at this trailhead. Group meets at the ramada in the parking lot. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
