Solar Cars Here is my bio; Hiya! My name is Ms. Dominique and I teach middle school science. This is my second year at YSCP and I am very excited to take learning outside the classroom. As a creative person myself, I will be running a selection of clubs that pair creativity with critical thinking and problem solving. Do you have an interest in engineering? Are you curious how individual pieces work together to create functioning machinery? The Solar Cars club will teach students basics of machine efficiency, forces, solar energy, and intentional design choices. They will compete in a State College area-wide competition in May in categories such as fastest, lightest, and most unique design. All parts as well as instruction for how to operate the car will be provided, though students will have to use their problem solving skills to make their car the most efficient. This club will be capped at 15 students.
