"Innovation 101" is a dynamic and comprehensive course designed for 9th to 12th graders, focusing on the fundamentals of technology and makerspace. Throughout the course, students engage in a variety of hands-on projects, learning essential skills in safety, design thinking, material usage, and digital tools like Illustrator, laser and vinyl cutters, and 3D printing. The curriculum emphasizes the development of practical skills alongside creative problem-solving, encouraging students to think innovatively and work independently. Each unit integrates core principles of STEM and art, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to learning. The course culminates in an open-ended project where students apply their accumulated knowledge to create something unique, be it a technological solution, an art installation, or an interactive object. "Innovation 101" not only equips students with technical know-how but also nurtures their creativity and capacity for innovation in a rapidly evolving world.
