Canine Good Citizen (CGC) / Therapy Dogs International (TDI) Prep ClassThis class will prepare you and your dog to take both the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and the Therapy Dogs International (TDI) Tests. The CGC is a core part of the AKC Family Dog Program and is the gold standard of behavior for dogs in our communities. The CGC provides foundation for good manners and a well-behaved dog who can interact well with people and other dogs and who can remain under control on a leash. Therapy Dogs International (TDI) regulates and tests therapy dogs for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, schools/universities, libraries, and other organizations where pet therapy may be needed. Therapy dogs are not service dogs or emotional support dogs.
Testing will be on August 22nd. Handlers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
