The Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program takes all the fun and magic of Coastal Camp to the next level for middle-school campers. As the next generation of environmental stewards, activists, educators and enthusiasts, this program will help LITs develop and foster a love of nature. Through planning hikes, team-building activities and learning about local environmental problems and solutions, the LITs will learn how to be environmental stewards. This program is designed to build skills, create memories and make friends that will last a lifetime. Program Highlights Include: Visiting the Climate Solutions Lab to design and build an environmental solution Planning a challenge hike along the group’s chosen route. Designing the perfect national park. Participating in several community science and park stewardship activities. Discovering how to become local EcoHeroes.
