Back by popular demand! The 2nd Annual Sing & Song Workshop! April 13 & 14, 2024 (Concert with Susan & Cosy on Friday April 12 not included, but highly recommended!) Let your creativity take root with this two day workshop of singing and songwriting with Susan Cattaneo & Cosy Sheridan. $195 Early Bird registration $225 after March 15, 2022 $250 Day of workshop Songwriting with Cosy Sheridan In this two day songwriting workshop we will begin the song inside us. (We might even finish it.) Cosy’s songwriting workshop is a hands-on exploration of tools we can use to call forth and then shape our song. A song is three minutes of energy and emotion; it’s a delivery device for what we are feeling; it needs an engine, a steering wheel and somewhere to sit. We will begin our song on Saturday with in-class exercises. On Sunday we will continue to workshop and look at editing. Vocal with Susan Cattaneo Berklee professor Susan Cattaneo brings her gifts for vocal styling to the weekend. With her powerful voice, captivating melodies and finely-crafted lyrics, Susan Cattaneo is one of Boston’s most respected singer-songwriters. Combining vivid storytelling with a modern songwriter’s spin. Susan’s music blends folk, rock and blues with hint of country. She likes to call it, “New England Americana”. Bring your instrument, a notebook, and a pen or pencil (or tablet). It will be helpful if you have a way to record what you are writing; the voice-memo app on an iPhone or the Google recorder app on an Android phone are both acceptable recording devices.
