About this event

Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

The Mission of the LFJC (Lycée Français Judo Club) is to develop in our students the necessary qualities to become good citizens. Besides developing physical ability, the judoka will learn and develop the following values: Politeness, Courage, Friendship, Self-control, Modesty, Honor and Respect. Through rigorous pedagogical progression, the judoka will build strong character which will help him/her in her academic achievement and life in general. The Judo program started in 2006 and offered Judo Classes on all three campuses to all ages (k3 to 12th grade students). Since Judo is part of our French culture and has various agreements between the French Judo Federation and the Ministry of Education as well, very rapidly, the program was very successful. The LFSF Judo Club is registered at the United States Judo Federation and our judoka are members of the National Organization which allows our students to participate in competitions, clinics, Judo training within the United States or abroad. We have offered in the past to our students to participate in Judo training camps in Japan. Depending on the age group, the young Judoka can train once or twice a week. Through a very strict curriculum, the judoka, at the end of each school year, takes a belt exam which includes a technical test according to their rank and a knowledge of Judo history.
