This Adult Intermediate Ballet class is designed for individuals with some ballet experience who want to challenge their strength and endurance while improving their Ballet technique. The class consists of a traditional ballet barre segment emphasizing general technique and artistry, followed by special pre-Pointe exercises intended to strengthen and develop the feet and ankles. Please wear athletic clothing and ballet shoes if you have them available. (If you do not have ballet shoes, please were socks with texture, to prevent slipping)
NOTE: This class combines a traditional improver level ballet, all-barre class with added elements from a traditional Pre-Pointe ballet class. It will last 1 ½ hours . (1st hour traditional ballet barre, last ½ hour specialty exercises.) This class is more complex and would move at a faster pace than the Adult Ballet class, but I’ll make sure anyone who attends will be safe by providing modifications as required.
Here are some additional reminders of what to expect:
• Classes are for individuals 18 years of age and older.
• Classes will be limited to 20 residents.
• Only the resident attending the class will be permitted in class.
• Residents are permitted to bring in one bag with their essentials.
• Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are available at check in.
We Encourage You To:
• Stay home if sick, or if anyone in your residence has exhibited symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or trouble breathing. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Remember to wash your hands and sanitize often.
• Stay at least 6 feet away from other residents at all times, and practice smart social distancing.
