About this event

November 22 - 28, 2020
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
The Clayton Valley/Concord Sunrise Rotary Chapter welcomes you to the inaugural "Turkey Trot" virtual run of 2020! We are always looking for ways to raise money to provide services, relief, care, and necessities to those in need.   NO MATTER WHERE, WE ARE THERE.    There are 1.2 million passionate individuals in 35,000 Rotary clubs throughout the world. Together we provide change and hope to individuals in our own backyards and across the oceans. Our club is comprised of only 38 members. We’re all volunteers. We come from various walks of life, but we come together as Rotarians and devote our time and talents to one single purpose:  to help our fellow human beings who are less fortunate than us. They could be across the street locally or they can be across the ocean globally.   Locally, through our Cars 2nd Chance auto donation program we were able to donate 68 cars to the residents of Paradise who suffered through the devastating fires. We joined forces with another local Rotary Club and raised $50,000 enabling the local Food Bank to provide 100,000 meals for local residents. Throughout our local schools, we have awarded prizes for outstanding work in the arts and provided scholarships for senior students.
Globally we provided a cancer screening center for residents in San Felipe, launched a computer lab in Uganda and provided 70 computers for students in all grades, held first-ever art award compactions for high school students in Uganda and Mexico.
There is still so much more to do and despite the intrusion of COVID-19 we are buckling down and developing ideas to raise funds and do more.   If you would like to donate to our organization and support our projects, please visit: https://www.convergepay.com/hosted-payments/?ssl_txn_auth_token=45Of%2Bx1%2BT1GReSt8OG%2FnBgAAAXKpXFVM#!/payment-method   Thank you!
