This program is closed to further registration.

What is the latest research conducted in our county? Find out from this trio of experts. The District is well known to have outside agencies and individuals to study various topics in regards to ecological research and monitoring. Each presenter will have 30mins to talk about their topic. Coffee will be available with some light snacks.

  • Anastasia Rahlin, Urban Biotic Assessment Manager & Ornithologist, Illinois Natural History Survey, PhD Student at U of I, examining Wetland wrens, continued from previous research and comparing 2022 and 2023 results
  • Gina Roxas, Trickster Cultural Center will be highlighting results and findings of the Bison Observation Field Study
  • Kevin Scheiwiller, McHenry County Conservation District Restoration Ecologist, formerly with Citizens for Conservation, will discuss local plant genetics and the "Sought after 60" list for restoration efforts
