Description
Advanced Trail Blazer Bike Camp is for advanced riders who enjoy long trail rides up hills and over different terrains. Program starts at Gates Park and each day campers ride to a different location (Lafarge Lake, Evergreen Park, Blakeburn Lagoon and other Trans Canada trails), swim at Centennial Pool and end their day there.
What to Bring:
- Your own bike and helmet
- Water bottle
- Small knapsack with large NUT FREE lunch and two snacks
- Runners and dress for the weather
- Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and hat
Prerequisite:
- Ability to ride continuously, up hills and long distances.
- Bikes with gears support advanced riders
Equipment:
- Participants supply their own bike and helmet
- Bike with gears support advanced rides and trails
- 24" to 26" wheel size to navigate terrain and support program design
- Bikes need to be mechanically sound: fully inflated tires, and working brakes, gears and chain
Advanced Trail Blazers Bike Camp Agenda
8:25 to 8:40am - Meet at Gate Park children's playground, 2300 Reeve Street, PoCo for daily sign in, health and bike safety check
8:40 to 1:30pm - Trail riding, lunch
1:30 to 2:45pm - Swimming at Centennial Pool
2:55 to 3pm - Pick up outside Centennial Pool by playground
