Here is a swimming challenge to motivate you for the New Year in your daily exercise program! You will have 8 weeks to complete either 12,000 or 24,000 yards; or 24, 36, 48, 60 miles. You choose your distance. Distances are broken down based on a 3 day per week workout, but can be completed any time through the 8 week period. This challenge will begin on January 11 and end on March 6. You will receive a T-shirt to commemorate accomplishing your goal. Please note, that currently, in order to use the recreation center you must be a member.
Charts and information will be emailed prior to the start of the challenge.

500 yards = 12,000 yards total
1,000 yards = 24,000 yards total
1 mile (1,650 yards) = 24 miles
1.5 mile = 36 miles
2 miles = 48 miles
2.5 miles = 60 miles
