This course is for health care professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of health care professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. In the classroom, you will participate in simulated clinical scenarios and work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete basic life support skills practice and skills testing. You will also complete a written exam. The exam will be open resource, a textbook is required (2020 version), which is available in our bookstore or download the digital book from the AHA site. This is a hands-on course. Dress comfortably and in layers.
