19th Annual Johnny Ray Century

Red Clay Brewing Company • 704 N Railroad Avenue OpelikaAL  36801 Organized by Opelika Bicycle Advisory Committee $25 instant refund on this event with gift card.

About this event

The Opelika Bicycle Advisory Committee presents the 19th Annual Johnny Ray Century sending you "Back to the Future." As it all began, this event once again raises money and grassroots support for trail-building along abandoned train tracks where Johnny Ray was the conductor of the famous 19th-century Central of Georgia spur. Once a part of the Alabama Backroads Series, the century travels the quiet but often rugged backroads of Lee, Chambers, and Randolph counties. Riders cross the old railroad bed in Lafayette. The 104-mile century option takes riders into downtown Roanoke where Johnny Ray himself is believed buried. Epic hospitality awaits in historic downtown Opelika at Red Clay Brewing Company

Choose your route:

Riders receive excellent support on the routes. Reststops feature a variety of foods and fluids. Expect special treats at select stops. Headquarters is at Red Clay Brewing Company where you'll enjoy Mama Mocha's locally roasted coffee and fresh breakfast items before and a catered Oktoberfest Lunch after your ride. Please find your Beer Coupon on your race bib.
