Description
Discover the ancient art of mandalas in this unique class. Learn about the history and meaning of these circular patterns before creating your own personal mandala using oil pastels, colored pencils, and collage. You will explore principles of geometry and symmetry to create a beautiful, symmetrical design that is uniquely yours. This class is perfect for anyone looking to unwind, center themselves, or explore their creativity in a fun and supportive environment. Most supplies are included in the class fee. Please bring embellishments: What odd bits & pieces do you have tucked away? Twigs, shells, sand, coral, small stones, gemstones, dried materials, flowers and leaves, scans of photos or magazine pictures/word (4 copies per small image), fibers, yarn, string, lace, buttons, beads, brads. Optional: assorted recycled papers, various papers - instructor will also bring papers.
