THIS IS AN IN-PERSON COURSE. The Pool Operator Instructor course prepares Instructors to teach and certify candidates in the Society's Pool Operator Level 1 and 2 programs. Pool Operator Instructor certification prepares instructors to plan and deliver the Lifesaving Society’s Pool Operator Level 1 and Level 2 certifications (the instructor must hold Level 2). The 12-hr. course explores and refines the professional teaching and leadership competencies required of Lifesaving Society instructors at this level. Prerequisites: Lifesaving Society Pool Operator Level 2, Lifesaving Instructor. Required resources: - Guide to Ontario Public Pools Regulation - Pool Operators Manual - Pool Operator Level 1 & Level 2 workbooks - Digital resources that will be sent after registration Course Dates: Saturday November 3, 2023 (9:00am - 9:00pm) Course Location: Lifesaving Society Office 400 Consumers Rd North York, M2J 1P8 Note: there will be an on deck component during the course, and more information will be shared in the welcome email for all registrants. This course does not have any in-water / swimming components. Students will receive an email containing the pre-course assignment.
