Description
Healthy Lifestyles Workshop is presented by Senior Connections and the Virginia Department of Health. Lunch will be provided if registered for BOTH sessions.Morning session: Longevity - Healthy Lifestyle Habits with Senior Connections. The topics on living a longer life were developed at Stanford University. Led by Kathy Brown, Health and Wellness Programs Manager with Senior Connections.
Afternoon session: Where You Live Affects Your Health - Virginia Department of HealthDid you know your zip code is a greater predictor of health than your genetic code? The places we live, work, and play have a profound effect on our health and quality of life. Learn about the factors that affect the health and wellbeing of Chesterfield and Colonial Heights residents most and discuss the best ways to address them. Presented by Jessie Brennan, Population Health Community Coordinator with the Virginia Department of Health.
