Description
This guided tour you will learn about the impact of two separate major battles which played a vital role during the Civil War in Chesterfield County.
Both the May 15, 1862, naval assault by Union vessels and the May 16, 1864, land battle had significant impact in the defense strategy. Explore the site and examine unique components of the fascinating position which allowed Confederate troops to defend Richmond.
