Located only 21 miles west of the triathlon mecca of Boulder, Colorado, the XTERRA Indian Peaks Triathlon and Trail races on August 1st take you up and into the beautiful trails of the Eldora Nordic Center. These races are on true trail venues with a bit of dirt road, double track, single track and even a bit of "barely any there" track. It all ends up at the Indians Peak Lodge where you have live music, food trucks, beer and great prizes. It all starts with newly renamed Indian Peaks Trail 10k and 5k trail runs (formerly the Eldora Trail 10k/5k) at 7:30. The trails will take you on short steep climbs, meandering jogs through the forest, a technical descent, and a number of places where the trail is so soft you won't hear your steps.
