Description
Batik is an Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to the whole cloth. The applied wax resists dyes allowing the artisan to color selectively by soaking the cloth in one color, removing the wax, and repeating if multiple colors are desired. Practice the art of wax resist dyeing to create your own unique tea towel. Your masterpiece can be used as a tea towel, or you frame it, or turn it into a pillow. No prior experience required.Jody Conway, owner of Dandelion Springs Apiary Farm and Uptown Girls Honey LLC, instructs and provides all supplies.
