Description
Celebrate birds on World Migratory Bird Day. While every day can be bird day, this day is celebrated to highlight migratory birds. Many birds migrate to and through our area. Some will stay in nests while others just pass through headed for nesting grounds farther north. This makes it one of the best times of the year to look for birds. Join us for this guided evening hike through the open fields, woodlands and wetlands of Monee Reservoir to see how many birds we can find. All skill levels are welcome. This is a great way for beginners to find out what birds are in our area and where they might be found. Dress to be outside, and bring your favorite field guide and binoculars. The hike may be 1.5 mile to 2 miles long on paved and natural surfaced trails.
