Description
Musical Excellence and Wellness Camp for PianistsJoin our unique Musical Excellence and Wellness (MEW) Camp for Pianists, personalized to improve talents and explore new strategies for artistic development while building friendships along the way. Through engaging classes, lessons, and workshops for aspiring pianists of all levels (ages 7-18), MEW will inspire and educate students to set up their path to a successful musical year!
Topics will include:
- Musicality and Musicianship
- The Science of Practicing
- Planning for Success: Strategies for a Lifetime
- Performance Preparation
- Organizing your Musical Mind and Space
Students will have ample opportunity for individual and partner practicing, will receive one private lesson with MacPhail faculty, and can participate in the closing Gala, which will feature a wide variety of musical, spoken, and visual presentations!
Students will be placed in leveled activities so that we can accommodate a wide variety of ages and skill levels. Campers are encouraged to bring one polished piece and one in-progress piece with them to camp.
