Description
Have you just begun studying a new instrument or are you just returning to an instrument that you studied when you were a child? Even if you are a beginner you can discover the joys of playing chamber music. Join us for MacPhail's Introductory Chamber Music Camp for Adults where you will be placed in small ensembles of 3-5 players who are playing at a similar level. Learn the basics of playing in an ensemble and prepare yourself for a lifetime of music-making.Placement in either Adult Chamber Camp or the Introductory Chamber Music Camp is based on a placement audition.
Auditions can be submitted by video. Please record a piece of your choice and a scale of your choice. Professional grade equipment is not required for these recordings - a smartphone or tablet or computer should suffice with video functions or apps like voice recorder. Video recordings should be uploaded to YouTube as unlisted. Then, email a link to the URL to Jeremy Swider: swider.jeremy@macphail.org. Audio only recordings can be sent via email to swider.jeremy@macphail.org. Please send audition videos to Jeremy Swider no later than the registration deadline of June 16.
