The Brandermill Makos swim team competes in the Richmond Metropolitan Aquatic League, summer-league in Division B. In 2019, 2018 and 2014, the MAKSO placed first in Division B for both regular season and CHAMPS. We compete against other RMAL teams: ACAC, MAC, YMCA, Granite, Woodlake, Bon Air, Willow Oaks and others divisions.
Brandermill Makos is open to boys and girls up to 18 years of age and combines a competitive spirit with training that is developmentally appropriate. Our high quality coaching encourages the achievement of each individual and enforces athletic training, motivational support, and having fun.
Dedication, determination, and the drive to succeed define the character of the approximately 150 athletes who are part of the Brandermill Makos Swim Team. The Brandermill Community is located in Midlothian, a suburb of Richmond, Virginia.
Each swimmer should be registered under either Senior Group (15 yrs and older) or 14 & Under age group.
If the swimmer is a non-resident swimmer, there are two options to obtain a non-resident membership:
(1) A single non-resident swimmer membership which is for swimmers who are 12 years and older; no other family member will be permitted. Register for a single non-resident membership IN ADDITION to the swim team age group registration using the swimmers name.
(2) A Family non-resident membership; for any swimmers who is 11 years of age or younger OR for one or more persons in the swimmers family to be able to utilize the facilities. Register a PARENT as the athlete for the Family Non-resident memberships & register each individual swimmer for the swim team membership.
