About this event
The USCCA CT Pistol Permit Course is the course need to be able to apply for your local and state permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The curriculum covers laws pertaining to carrying a handgun, firearms safety, how handguns work, and the fundamentals of shooting, including use during self defense. The course starts at our office and ends at the range unless other accommodations have been agreed upon. I host small groups, five or less students, providing each student with lots of personal attention. This course includes the USCCA Home Defense/Concelaed Carry Book which is almost 300 pages of useful information pertaining to firearms and their use during a self defense situation. The Range is indoors. Please bring refreshments and snacks. Lunch is when we leave for the range around 1:00 pm. Not mandatory but recommended is to bring your own safety glasses and ear protection. These are items you will eventually need when you want to practice with your firearm. I will have loaner safety glasses and disposable ear plugs available to anyone who does not wish to bring their own eye and ear protection.
