About this event

O.W.L. (Observe, Wonder, Learn) Programs are a wonderful addition to any school field trip. We offer a variety of zoo classes, from learning about animal relationships, to building a food web, to understanding how you can do your part to help protect our world and the animals in it. O.W.L. programs offer students an indoor experience with unique animal visits, engaging activities, and fun lessons that will enhance your trip to the zoo! Endangered Species: Saving the C6! (3rd - 12th grade recommended) Throughout this program, we will learn all about some of the Memphis Zoo's Conservation Six, what struggles different species face, and what is being done to help them! Because of the critically endangered status of Sumatran tigers, Dusky Gopher frogs, Louisiana pine snakes, Graur's (Eastern Lowland) gorillas, and African elephants, the Memphis Zoo focuses heavily on these species as well as supporting biodiversity in Sri Lanka!
