Description
Enjoy a guided tour at the Elmhurst History Museum. The “Victory at Home: 1941-1945” exhibit will explore the national effort to support the military during World War II. The exhibition will include compelling artifacts, photographs, and interactive audio/video stations with hands-on experiences to demonstrate the significant contribution Chicagoland residents, including those in Elmhurst, had on the home front effort. Also enjoy a guided tour of the exhibit: “By All Accounts: The Story of Elmhurst” that will address the history about how the city grew and developed over its 165-year history. The tour is an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. After the tour, we will have lunch at Portillo’s. Lunch is on your own. The fee includes transportation and tour. The trip departs and returns from the Bloomingdale Park District, 172 South Circle Avenue in Bloomingdale.
Bus Departs Johnston Recreation Center @ 10:00 am.
