The Circle of Trust experience called “The Soul of Aging” is for people who long to gently explore, understand, and be transformed by the aging process. The themes reflect aspects of this life season, including forgiveness, yearnings, time, serving others, and befriending one’s own death. The approach is spiritual and respectful of each person's beliefs. The experience requires an open spirit and honest sharing. The Circle of Trust approach is based on the pioneering work of Parker Palmer. Participants create a safe, confidential, and sacred space where people support each other in accessing the voice of their Inner Teacher. Essays, poetry, and images inspire journaling and self-discovery. Touchstones guide the way. With honest, open questions, everyone has the opportunity to listen deeply to the others as well as to their own soul. The schedule will also allow free time for hiking, fishing, reading, resting, and other creative endeavors; a labyrinth for walking meditation, trails for short walks or long ones, campfires for singing – all are in the healing context of the forest. This is a soul-nourishing retreat. Cancellations before this time will incur a $50 cancellation fee (to account for additional administrative duties) with the balance refunded.
