About this event
Together, we will chronicle the history of comedy and satire in film from the earliest Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton movies all the way through the latest Netflix comedy worthy of inclusion. We will screen classic films, discuss the context of the time periods the film came out -- what they were satirizing. To conclude, we will have the students write a short script satirizing something in their own lives.
